A HEALTHY HOME
People are increasingly concerned about mold, radon, carbon monoxide, and toxic chemicals commonly found in homes. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) studies show that air pollution levels inside the home are often two to five times higher than outdoor levels. All GreenHalo Build homes will be Indoor airPLUS certified, ensuring a healthy indoor air quality - eliminating the concern for mold, radon, carbon monoxide, and toxic chemicals.
COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
GreenHalo Builds homes are environmentally responsible. Each is equipped with ENERGY STAR® certification, adheres to Indoor airPLUS standards, is delivered to the homeowner with a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) index, and is examined throughout the entire build process by an independent third-party energy-certified auditor. At GreenHalo, we are committed to building healthy homes that have a positive impact on the environment.

EnergyStar
ENERGY STAR® is a voluntary EPA program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency. By incorporating ENERGY STAR products, GreenHalo Builds can decrease home energy demand and contribute to improved home quality and comfort, all resulting in reduced energy consumption.

Indoor airPLUS
Indoor airPLUS is a voluntary EPA partnership and labeling program that sets construction standards and product specifications designed to minimize exposure to airborne pollutants and contaminants in new homes. Improvements to HVAC systems, filtration and ventilation ensures Indoor airPLUS homes offer improved comfort and a healthier indoor environment.

Energy Smart Builder
The industry standard for calculating a home’s energy performance is the HERS index. While a new home built to code would earn a HERS of 100, a home which uses less energy than it makes would earn a zero. Independent certified RESNET auditors inspect every GreenHalo Build to ensure homes are Zero Energy Ready.

Green Path Energy
Minnesota’s Green Path is the leading energy efficiency and green building program for the residential construction industry in Minnesota. Created by Housing First Minnesota in 2011, the program has provided Home Performance Reports to more than 23,000 newly built homes highlighting RESNET’s HERS (Home Energy Rating System) index and air exchange rate.
